When it comes to tiles, everyone is familiar with it, and every family will use it. There are many types of tiles on the market today, and the quality varies from one type to another. But for those of us who don't know, we don't know what quality tiles to choose. And this time we need a certain understanding of tile quality testing. Today, Xiaobian will take a look at the tile quality inspection method and the tile quality identification method.

Tile quality inspection method

1. It can be beaten, the sound is crisp and the porcelain density and hardness are high, and the quality is good. (The brick is lightly tapped by hand. If the brick emits a sound of "å™—, å™—", it indicates that it has insufficient sintering degree and the texture is relatively small. If a slight "beep" sound is given, its texture is relatively hard compared to the previous one. (In fact, the method is very simple, knocking by hand, high-density tiles are knocked out with a crisp glass of crispy sound. Low density The tiles make the sound of dull bricks).

2. Measure the water absorption rate of the tile, the lower the water absorption rate, the higher the inherent stability of the tile, the more suitable for the space with high moisture or moisture content (such as bathroom, kitchen), no black spots and other problems. .

3. Pour a cup of water on the back of the tile, and the water stain spreads rapidly, indicating that the water absorption rate is high, and vice versa.

4. You can scrape the tile glaze with a hard object. If you leave traces, it means poor quality.

5. Look at the color of the tile is not clear, look at the naked eye with pinholes, the pinhole is easy to accumulate dirt.

6. The flatness of the tile, the side is straight, easy to lay out, and the effect is good. (Visual inspection method, put the floor tile on the flat surface, see if the four sides are completely consistent with the flat surface, and see if the four corners of the tile are right angles. Then, place the tiles in the same variety and the same type of tiles to observe the degree of color difference).

7. When choosing a floor tile, I often see the material supplier put it on the ground and step on it. This only shows that the bottom of his floor tile is flat and cannot explain the quality of his tile.

8. Draw on the ground. The poor tiles are completely chalked by the density relationship.

Tile quality testing skills

Knock check quality

Lighten the brick with a hard object. The crisper the sound, the higher the vitrification and the better the quality. You can also hold the corner of the tile with your left thumb, forefinger and middle finger, and hang it down easily. Use your right index finger to tap the middle and lower part of the tile. If the sound is clear and pleasing, it means the tile is of high quality. If the sound is dull, the turbidity is of course not.

Drip check for water resistance

Add a proper amount of water to the back of the tile to see if there is any infiltration of water on the brick surface. If the surface is not easy to penetrate, it means that the waterproof performance of the tile is better.

Stain resistance check

Drop colored water droplets (such as ink) on the front side of the tile, and then use a damp cloth for one minute. If there are traces on the brick surface, it means that dirt is sucked into the brick; if the brick surface is still bright as a mirror, it means the tile is not Sucking, easy to clean, good bricks.

Tile quality identification method

Look at the flatness of the wall

Inspecting the flatness of the wall surface with the instrument, according to the regulations, the flatness and verticality of the wall surface are within 2 meters, and the error is not allowed to exceed 4 mm. Otherwise it will affect the flatness of the tile.

Second, see if the original basic treatment is in place before the paving

The base layer should be chiseled, the depth of the chiseling is 5~10 mm, and the spacing of the chisel marks is about 30 mm. According to the construction process requirements, if the original wall surface has putty before the wall tile, the putty should be removed and the smooth wiped The gray layer is chiseled and the surface is cleaned, then the ash is used to pull the hair, and finally the tiling is carried out. Otherwise, the tiling cement and the base layer are not firmly bonded, which causes the wall tiles to appear empty and delaminated.

Third, see if the cement mortar on the back of the tile is full.

The mortar behind the tile should be full to ensure that the corners are not empty. According to the regulations, when the wall tiles are laid, the mortar should be full and firmly adhered. The empty corners of the wall should not exceed 5 percent of the number of paving. When paving bricks, it is better to use 1:2 cement mortar, the thickness should be 6 to 10 mm, and then use a rubber hammer to lightly compact, otherwise it is easy to appear empty.

Four to see if the tiles have no color difference

Apparent color difference appears in two adjacent wall tiles. According to relevant regulations, the variety, specifications, grades, colors and patterns of wall tiles should meet the design requirements. After the paving, the color of the tiles should be basically the same, no obvious color difference, no clean matter and no slurry marks.

At the time of purchase, it is difficult to see the quality of the appearance. It is sometimes impossible to obtain accurate information through the introduction of the salesperson. At this time, the tiles can be inspected at home to judge its pros and cons. This will decide whether to buy again. The above is the tile quality inspection method and tile quality identification method introduced by Xiaobian today. It is over here.
